On May the 11th we will find out if New Zealand is moving to Alert level 2.


Level 3 has been the first step in re-opening our economy and has also seen the health side of this equation continue in the right direction. New virus cases over the last few days have been zero or close to and the country should be proud of how it has responded to enable this result 

For our industry this has meant the ability to safely conduct private viewings of property, due diligence inspections and the re-commencement of settlements. Enquiry levels have continued to grow and the wheels are beginning to turn again.

Our April result was well back on last year but the sales concluded give us an indication of building activity as we move down through Alert levels. Enquiries from overseas have spiked and we are receiving comments from clients hailing New Zealand’s covid response as world leading, and this contributes further to ‘NZ Inc’s’ clean green and safe image. 

Our LUX Rentals team are receiving bookings for August and beyond and there is a strong belief that an ‘ANZAC’ bubble will be opened to enable Trans-Tasman travel between Australia and New Zealand in the not too distant future. 

Along with some encouraging sales during April we are have also listed some outstanding new properties. None more so than ‘51 Albert’ in Auckland which we are very excited to launch this week.
