Christina Grant – née Perriam – is a force to be reckoned with. Her natural creativity, savvy business sense and dedication to quality has developed PERRIAM into one of New Zealand’s most coveted fashion labels.
Christina says PERRIAM strives to encapsulate luxury and lifestyle and quality over quantity. “Our focus is on a slow lifestyle and we like to appreciate the precious moments in life,” she says.
“We believe in creating investment pieces that will last in your wardrobe for many years due to the quality craftmanship and materials selected.”
With three beautiful bricks-and-mortar stores in Wanaka, Tarras and Christchurch, as well as an online store, the brand has grown exponentially since launching in 2013.
The company’s success is a testament to Christina’s efforts as well as a societal shift where consumers are now more discerning of the origins of their clothes.
“I believe we need to be a leader in sustainable fashion so others emulate the same core values,” she says.
“In a world of fast fashion and mass production it’s important to create sustainable brands that will do little damage to our planet. We aren’t like other brands that are focused on profit at the detriment of our workers and manufactures – we believe in crafting quality pieces from an amazing fibre that last for many, many years.”
