Mt Albert Station is located at the head waters of Lake Wanaka near the small township of Makarora in the Queenstown Lakes District. Positioned on the main tourist route from the Southern Lakes region to Haast Pass, the property is just 40 minutes drive from the Wanaka Airport. This large high country property comprises of both pastoral lease and freehold titles spanning over 12,744 hectares (31,477 acres) in area. A large scale sheep and cattle farm operates on the property running approximately 13,500 stock units. To the western side of the property, glaciated valleys extend up into the high country and reach out to touch Mt Aspiring National Park, a World Heritage Area.
