Burke's Bank is a highly respected commercial vineyard in the main wine-growing area of Tasman. Currently owned by Woollaston Estates Holdings, it serves as part of the prestigious Mahana portfolio. Mahana is one of the most respected boutique wineries in the country, producing two of the Top 10 wines in New Zealand, based on a recent national review, while ranking first in Sauvignon Blanc with its grapes grown here. Burke's Bank comprises 14 hectares of vines: 10 ha Sauvignon Blanc, 1.67 ha Riesling and 1.90 ha Pinot Gris. This is a mature, commercial vineyard that is certified organic. Yields are of a consistently high quality. The vineyard includes extensive irrigation systems and excellent water supply contract from the Waimea East Irrigation Company.
