For buyers from all other countries, the Active Investor Plus Visa (AIP) now provides a pathway to purchase or build one residential property in New Zealand valued in excess of NZ$5 million, subject to consent under the Overseas Investment Act.
Eligible visa holders can either purchase an existing home or acquire land and build, provided the combined value exceeds the NZ$5 million threshold. Only one property may be owned under this pathway, and consent must be obtained before completing a purchase.
