We had a wonderful week at Aspen Grove. We had high expectations of the house and view, based on the advertising, but nothing can express how overwhelmed we were when we walked into the beautiful house. The view is nothing short of breath-taking. So much so that we did a lake tour and drive and all felt we didn't really need to leave the house, as the lake was best experienced from there!
The house was tastefully and practically furnished - the rooms were cosy and stylish and the hot tub was divine, at any time of day.
Finally, the staff at Sotheby's went above and beyond - greeting us in person at the house and showing us around so there was no guessing. Over the course of the week, the very few questions we had were responded to almost instantly.
I really have nothing bad to say about Aspen Grove and would revisit in a heartbeat.

You will be absolutely delighted by your decision to stay at the Aspen Grove. It’s a beautifully laid out home, with stunning views, and quite secluded for those discerning travelers without compromising access to what Queenstown has to offer. Whether a small group, or large, this residence has a lot to offer for a most memorable stay. Our summer stay was filled with sunlight, resplendent views, refreshed by swims in the delightful pool, and meals with open bay windows that provided the feeling of indoor/outdoor dining. We could easily access greater Queenstown and its shops and restaurants, or go the other direction towards Glenorchy for more quiet hikes and walks. The manual provided was clear in its directions, instructions, and highly recommend reading in advance, especially if you intend to use the phenomenal rain shower head, the sound system, the spa, the gym, and the jacuzzi. The outdoor fireplace was a pleasure to use after the sun set, its use easily managed, its warmth and light enjoyed with a glass of wine from one of the locals vineyards. The entertainment system is well designed and integrated using AppleTV and Sonos sound. Any atmosphere is easily enhanced by whatever music you wish to listen to. We were excited by the X-Box system provided -the only we never used it because there were so many other things to do. You’re guaranteed a restful sleep no matter which bed you choose to sleep in, or on the couch, or on the pool deck. The beds and linens are incredibly comfortable. I’d strongly encourage a multi-day stay here, with either a large or small group. Just grab a number of groceries along the way - and you could literally never leave. And don’t forget to bring some wine which can easily be chilled in the wine cooler. Do hope your stay is as memorable as ours. We wouldn’t hesitate to return David January 2022
