We decided to engage Sandy and Yana from Team McKenzie in Waipu, to act for us and sell the section that we were in the process of sub-dividing off our land at Lang’s Beach. We had the choice of 4 or 5 real estate agencies based in, or near Waipu, but we decided on their team because of their reputation for efficiency, and professionalism, and the fact that we had only ever heard positive comments about the way they conducted their sales. Their reputation proved to be accurate. They were very understanding about the fact that we wanted to protect our views and our privacy, and the sort of family that we preferred to have as our future neighbours. They quickly found us a buyer that we approved of, even though our sub-division process had only just begun. They liaised with both parties throughout the 18 month long procedure, keeping both parties fully informed and up to date with proceedings, and letting us know what we should be doing next. They were also very helpful when it came to working through the Councils demands and regulations, and were certainly not shy about picking up the phone to get things moving again whenever progress through the sub-division process came to a stand-still because of an unforeseen council regulation, or a contractor being slow off the mark.
