Taking us to the Next Level at GNE

Part of the NZSIR team visited Vancouver, Canada this month for the Sotheby’s International Realty Global Networking Event (GNE), among nearly 2000 SIR members from all over the world.

The theme was “Next Level” and the SIR team truly delivered on the theme. We already know the strength of the SIR brand but having the ‘master plan’ and the sum of its parts laid out really shows where the company plans to take us in the future. The depth and detail of SIR’s business direction is remarkable and we are so excited to be part of it.

Technology is a huge focus and investments on how we can harness data, develop new enabler technologies and forge partnerships (notably, Facebook) will be crucial.

As always our marketing capability is unmatched and exciting new initiatives will only increase this dominance. A new campaign ‘Only’ was launched, highlighting the spirit and crystallization of the exceptional core values of the brand.

These advancements underpin our dedication to giving the highest level of service to our clients. We heard from many SIR members on just this topic, including our very own Russell Reddell who spoke to his peers on how his focus on relationships allows him to take his business to the next level.

New Zealand in the spotlight

New Zealand Sotheby’s International Realty team shared quite a bit of the GNE spotlight. Our performance warranted a special mention from Phillip White (pictured with Mark Harris and National Brand and Marketing Director Clodagh Hall), SIR CEO and National Marketing Director Clodagh Hall and National Sales Director Chris Jones were also selected to share their knowledge on speaker panels.

Amongst the business, fun was not forgotten! We were treated to gala dinners and a guest appearance from none other than actress and entrepreneur Gwyneth Paltrow.

GNE helped us recognise that we’re doing a fantastic job in New Zealand but also sparked so many new ideas and the inspiration to move to the next level.
