Shane was born in England and has a daughter and 3 grandchildren who live in the UK. In 2012, he married his Kiwi wife, Caroline, who is a local vet. Shane moved to Northland in 2013 as they fell in love with the stunning location and its warm-hearted locals and subsequently started his Real Estate career there in 2014. From 2017 to 2021 he was the 'Salesperson of the year’ for the Northland based Real Estate Company he worked for, specializing in Residential and Lifestyle properties. Prior to coming to New Zealand, for 10 years he was part of the United Kingdom Territorial Army, has been a Bank Manager, Mortgage Brokerage Manager & is a member of the UK Chartered Institute of Bankers. Shane believes those combined roles have given him the experience to be able to provide expert advice to his real estate clients no matter how challenging the situation. He always puts his clients first, realising that he’s privileged to contribute to their life-enhancing decisions. He is a keen golfer, avid car enthusiast, plays croquet & has sponsored several sporting tournaments. Shane and his wife moved to the Wellington region for the opportunities the area holds for them both. Shane has chosen to work for New Zealand Sotheby’s International Realty because its niche presence in the market and its outstanding attention to procedure and detail matched his own work practices.
