Others may wish to laze on the dress-circle decks with their panoramic stunning water views of the harbour, enjoy a book and watch the wading birds on the beach below. At night relax in the stillness and stargaze or take in a special encounter in the Waipoua Forest, the home of Tane Mahuta, the country's largest Kauri tree. Local Maori cultural experiences, art trails, craft shops and cafes here and in nearby Rawene will also fill their days.
